Medical equipment is based
upon your detailed request. Virtually any type of simple to complex items can be
obtained. The electrical wiring, electronics, and any other technology is
completely tested, and replaced if needed in more sophisticated equipment.
There are two different
systems for obtaining medical equipment. One is the GLEANING of donated items. The number of hospital beds
in a 20-foot container is approximately 50 with mattresses. The handling fee per
20-foot of medical equipment or medical supplies is US$3,000.00. If there are
individual pallets of medical equipment and/or supplies in a container then the
GLEANING fee is $250.00 per seven foot pallet. Currently there are three pallets
of medicines available to be added to a "mixed load" container. The C.I.F.
shipping fees are at costs.
The medical equipment and
supplies are "as is", i.e., what is donated and available. There are no
guarantees as to what can be obtained at any specific time. Almost every type
of medical equipment is available within a 12 - 18 month period. At this time
there are birthing tables, crutches, walkers, dentist chairs, school furniture
(100 sets of like new school desks), office chairs and desks, a few hospital
beds, and assorted medicines. This inventory literally changes day-to-day.
We have a second system to
provide high quality previously used medical equipment to NGOs, churches,
private clinics, or government hospitals that need more specific and guaranteed
quality equipment. Such requests are based upon specific orders by manufacturer,
general condition, and age of the equipment. Pricing will be determined at the
time of order. Specific requests should be submitted 15 to 21 days in advance of
expected shipping date. Our freight forwarder will determine the most C.I.F.
cost effective route and pricing. |
